Let it snow... I don't think so!

Andrew wasn't so sure about our first snowfall this year.  I just had to get his reaction on camera.
After this video footage, Aubrey took Andrew by the hand and took him outside into the snow.  Andrew was just fine until Aubrey let go of his hand and he realized he was surrounded by the white stuff.  He started bawling.  I was standing at the backdoor just watching the drama unfold.  I didn't have any shoes on so I yelled to Aubrey (who had already wondered off) to come and help her brother back inside.  Andrew was safe once more!

Pumpkin Season

We were given a bunch of small pumpkin's from our friends the Stowe's.  The kids had a lot of fun with them and enjoyed sharing them with our neighbors.

Pumpkin Girl!

We enjoyed paining our pumpkins.  Painting pumpkins is so much easier to do than carve pumpkins especially when you have little kids.

Dave always has a Utah Utes pumpkin every year.  Go Utes!

Katelyn painted a pumpkin for her teacher and one for me.  Mine was pink with red and purple polka dots.

Andrew's Birthday Celebration

Andrew enjoyed his Birthday celebration at Grandma Mona's.  He got a new bike from his Mom and Dad.  A Curious George Jacket from Grandma and Grandpa Kotter. And he got a fire truck and airplane from Grandma and Grandpa Bingham.  When we gave him his new bike he just couldn't believe it was his!  He repeatedly said, "mine?" about five times before he even got on to ride it. We were all shaking our heads, "Yes, that is your bike!"
AJ had a Mickey Mouse Cake this year.
Andrew was teasing Grandma Karen by only giving Grandpa Mustache hugs and kisses and sitting on his lap.
Let's eat some cake!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!  WE LOVE YOU!

Labor Day Weekend

Aubrey LOVES to ride with Uncle Tom on his scooter.  She holds on tight and tells him to go fast!

Katelyn loves the monkey bars and she is very good at them.  She plays on the monkey bars at school every recess.  I asked her who she liked to play with at school and she said, "Who ever is playing on the monkey bars."  What a monkey!

Katelyn sitting on the B overlooking Brigham City.

Katelyn and her dad hiked up to the Box Elder B on the mountain in Brigham City.  Katelyn has wanted to hike to the B for years and she finally made her goal.  She told me that a deer was passing by took this picture of her and her dad on the mountain.  What do you think?

First Day of School

Katelyn had her first day of school today.  She's been awake since 6:30 this morning in anticipation of going to school and seeing all of her old friends.  She is excited about her new teacher, Mrs. Gertsch.  Mrs. Gertsch is a big Ute fan so in Katelyn's book she is pretty cool.  (Plus she let's the kids chew bubble gum in class!)
Katelyn was excited to wear her favorite "monkey" shirt.  If you look closely it has monkeys all over it.  It matched her new backpack.  And she was sporting her new Converse pink shoes.  She is so cute!
Aubrey started pre-school last Monday.  She was wearing her favorite color to school- pink, of course.  She is so excited to be back to school and she loves her friends there.  The kids are busy with school now, and I have a little time to myself, only I don't know what to do with it.  I missed them terribly today.  I walked Katelyn to school this morning and to her class.  After a few minutes she said, "You can go now Mom".  I wasn't sure I was ready to go but I knew it was time.  It's hard to let go some days, they grow so quickly.  It's been a great first day!

Day's of 47 Youth Parade

Katelyn was in the Day's of 47 Youth Parade this summer.  She was so excited because she was going to be on TV!  We Tivo'd it and if you watch the screen in slow motion you can see her perfectly. (Katelyn is in middle of photo, looking at camera, with pink hat and sunglasses.)
After the parade they had activities for the youth and the family who participated in the parade.  One of the activities simply was to get drenched by the fire hose.  They loved it!

Gone Fishing

Katelyn enjoyed fishing for the first time with Grandpa Naylor.  The best part is that you could cast your line out and a fish would bite.  That's my kind of fishing!
We had gone to the Unitas for my birthday and had a really wonderful day with Heather and her family.
Katelyn loved to catch the fish, but she wasn't so sure about touching them. Katelyn caught four fish and Aubrey caught three.  I even caught one just for the fun of it.  I haven't caught a fish since I was a little kid.  I have to admit it was thrilling when the line went tight and I reeled in my fish.  I had a great Birthday, everyone sang Happy Birthday to me accompanied by a jelly doughnut and candle.  Life couldn't be sweeter.
